This 2019-20 season, tenor Jordan Loyd finishes his Masters degree at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). During his time at CCM thus far, Mr. Loyd has starred in Smetana’s The Bartered Bride as Jeník, made his orchestral debut with the CCM Philharmonia under the baton of Mark Gibson, and sang the Evangelist in the North American premiere of Sixten's Johannespassionen.
Recently, in his first run at the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, Mr. Loyd was awarded 2nd place in the Great Lakes Region Finals. Before the development of COVID-19, Mr. Loyd was to be a Gerdine Young Artist at the Opera Theatre of St. Louis, covering Eisenstein in their production of J. Strauss’s Die Fledermaus.
Summer 2019, Jordan was a Studio Artist at the Chautauqua Opera Company where he sang Marquis and covered Bégearss in Corigliano’s The Ghosts of Versailles.
