“After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.”

Friends and Visitors,

Thank you for visiting my website - I very much appreciate you taking the time out of your day. Before I head into third-person, I felt compelled to at least say 'Hello'. Now on with the vanity play…

Tenor Jordan Loyd is a self-described ‘Artist-Who's-Young’ eager to do his part in shaping the future of classical music and opera. He recently finished his Masters degree at University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, where he was fortunate to study under soprano Amy Johnson. While at CCM, Jordan played the role of ‘Jeník’ in Smetana’s The Bartered Bride as well as singing ‘The Evangelist’ in the North American premiere of Sixten’s Johannespassionen

Before the outbreak of Coronavirus, Jordan was slated to be a Gerdine Young Artist at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis where he would cover the role of ‘Eisenstein’ in J. Strauss’s Die Fledermaus and perform the Grand Duet from Meyerbeer’s Les Huguenots as a part of OTSL's annual Centerstage concert. In Summer 2019, Jordan was a Studio Artist at Chautauqua Opera where he sang ‘Marquis’ and covered ‘Bégearss’ in Corigliano’s The Ghosts of Versailles and portrayed 'Lennie' in Floyd's Of Mice and Men in Chautauqua's annual Scenes Program.

What's next?
